We have been established since early 1995 and are Welsh Golf Union registered members, as well as being members of the challenging Pwllheli Golf Club. We currently try to organises about ten golf days per year amongst ourselves, and against other societies. Playing on Sundays and using Pwllheli Golf Club as our home venue, we also try to arrange away fixtures against other societies.
The majority of golf days consist of coffee & Bacon Bap on arrival, 18 holes of golf, two/three course meal followed by a prize giving.
We have members of all ages and all standards. Nobody feels out of place or embarrassed at their standard of golf, as our main aim is to have a days golf with a few laughs thrown in at everyone's expense.
Golf days vary in cost between £30 and £50 depending upon the venue. We mainly play stableford betterball competitions but we also try to incorporate individual stableford and match play. Should you wish to join the Drakes, all we ask is that you be a Full member at Pwllheli Golf Club, and pay a membership fee to the Drakes Golf Society. This Membership fee is used towards running costs and Administration Fees.
